LRCC Ministries:

Preaching Ministry

LRCC is dedicated to following the Word of God as witnessed in Scripture. Each week, our congregation hears a biblically rooted and culturally relevant sermon. If you would like a recording of this week's lesson, please email us.

Worship Ministry

At LRCC we believe that our whole lives are lived out as worship to God. When assembled together as a body we celebrate God through singing, prayer, the reading of Scripture, and the shared experience of Communion. Each of these transformative events are designed to uplift participants and encourage them in their daily walk with Christ. To find out more about the worship ministry, enjoy the worship blog at www.lrccworship.blogspot.com, or contact David Carnes.

/files/Channel 1 Files/Lifegrouplogo.JPGLifeGroups / Small Groups Ministry

LRCC is strongly rooted in the conviction that Christianity is not lived out alone. As a part of the family of God, we encourage everyone in our church to particpate in one of our LifeGroups or Small Groups. These meetings are more intimate and personal and provide a much more direct opportunity for encouragement, accountability, discipleship, and the growth of deep relationships.

We have groups for all ages and interests designed to best meet your spiritual needs and gifts. Below is a listing of all of our LifeGroups and their particular interest points.

LIVEALIVE Youth Ministry

The goal of LIVEALIVE Youth Ministry is to work alongside families to help transform young people's lives into the image of Christ. LIVEALIVE is committed to teaching students the Word of God, nurturing their personal and social development, fostering spiritual growth and participation as well as a commitment to the church. For more information, please check out www.myspace.com/lrccyouth, or contact Adam Hill.

The Loft

/files/Channel 1 Files/loftlogo.jpgThe LOFT is the name of the LIVEALIVE Youth Center, which also doubles on occasions as a local concert venue. At various times the LOFT hosts all-ages, family-friendly concerts by local musicians. It is the purpose of the LOFT to provide young people in our community a place to be and belong that is safe, fun, and positive. The relationships fostered by this ministry allow us to develop relationships with some who might come to a concert, but otherwise would not come to our church for a worship service. Also, the LOFT serves to help raise funds (through ticket sales) which enable the LIVEALIVE Youth Ministry to serve our community by purchasing school supplies for local families in need. For more information, check out www.myspace.com/theloftanderson, or contact Adam Hill.

Children's Ministry

LRCC is dedicated to the spiritual formation of children. To this end, we offer a wide selection of Sunday morning and Wednesday evening Bible Classes, as well as a Sunday morning Children's Church. We also have regular events that help us encourage and build stronger families through Christ.

Caring MInistries

The body at LRCC works hard to make sure that people feel the love of Christ, whether or not they are a part of our particular fellowship. We have committed Prayer Warriors as well as active benevolence ministries. To this end, the body regularly provides meals and groceries, and financial support to families in need. Most often this is done through our regular support for Operation Love; however, special needs can also be met as they arise. Please contact us with a special need that you are aware of, as we believe that we have been blessed to be a blessing.

World Bible School

LRCC is committed to sharing the gospel with the world. To this end, we support the efforts of the World Bible School. To participate in this Bible study by mail program, please contact us, or mail us, attention to: Retha Naylor.

Prison Ministry

LRCC is committed to ministering to those who are imprisoned in Madison County. We have several representatives on the Madison County Sherriff's Chaplaincy corps, such as Pres Higginbotham and Sande Grieb, who work daily in the prisons and jails to introduce people to Jesus and strengthen the faith of those disciples who are incarcerated. Also, Adam Hill teaches a weekly mentoring class at the Madison County Youth Center to juvenile offenders who are detained. To become more involved in this ministry effort, please contact Adam Hill.

Missions

We believe that we are called to shine the light of the gospel and the love of Christ everywhere we go. To this end, LRCC is involved in both local and global missionwork. In addition to local ministry efforts, LRCC serves as the sponsoring congregation for two missionaries in Italy, and leads a group of Christian servants every year in a medical, evangelical, and benevolent mission trip to Tegucigalpa, Honduras. For more information on our mission efforts contact our elders.

Anderson Christian School

LRCC is proud to be the sponsoring and founding congregation for the Anderson Christian School. For over 25 years, ACS has provided the Anderson-area with a quality Christian education. ACS currently serves our community providing a wonderful Preschool, Kindergarten, Grade SChool, and Middle SChool, as well as its award-winning Educare Program (daycare for infants through 4 years old, as well as afterschool care for gradeschool children). For more information, enjoy www.andersonchristianschool.com.
